Our Vision statement "A travel experience that just might be life changing™" is a
testament to our philosophy. The adventure you do with our company will benefit
others not as fortunate. We believe in "paying it forward" so a portion of the
proceeds from all our adventures will be donated back into the communities in which
we travel.
If you can afford to go on an international journey, you are a very fortunate person
compared to the rest of the world's population. How you got there doesn't make any
difference, the difference is that our experience and travels have shown us we can
help and give back a little, or sometimes a lot through our deeds, to those that really
need it. You will be part of that cause when you go on one of our adventures.
When you give to a large organization that claims to be a non-profit, you never really
know how much of your money is going to the cause you donated to. We, at
IDLEWILD ADVENTURES, are committed to the betterment of those that have the
will, but not necessarily the means. That opportunity comes from our efforts while on
our trips. You the customer will know that your generous support of our company is
in turn "paying it forward". How do you eat an elephant? Why, one fork at a time, of
course. We are not trying to be a large humanitarian company. We want to help
provide opportunities to put your "One Fork" to work in helping others. This is one

In Pattaya Beach we help support the Pattaya Sports Club. They are a
small non-profit organization that was set up by expatriates that live in the
area. Their mission is to fund the betterment of needy children, the
handicapped, and the underprivileged. Pattaya Sports Club 2007,
“Supporting local charities remains a key objective of the club and as
the club has grown, so has our ability to donate. Our focus is on needy
children, the handicapped, and the underprivileged. For the year
2005/2006 donations to charity from the Pattaya Sports Club were in
excess of baht 2.9 million.” That is almost $100,000.00 dedicated to this
wonderful cause. Our golf / flex adventures provide funds directly to this
worthy cause. We will ask you to provide a digital picture of yourself (that
we can shrink down to 1” square) at the time of your booking. We donate
your fee to the sports club and obtain your membership card prior to your
arrival. This simple act will help with the community. Your participation in
the golf, keeps caddies, grounds keepers and the like employed in the
area. Every little bit helps.

In Los Cabos, we will contribute a portion of our profits to Liga M.A.C.
which is a registered Mexican charitable organization made up of Mexican,
American and Canadian members. They organize fund raising events in
order to assist members of the San Jose del Cabo community. "Mano con
mano" is a helping hand offered to a hand in need. Their vision is
that none of the families or individuals of San Jose del Cabo be deprived of
food, education or medical treatment due to financial constraints. Members
go into local communities to provide medicine, food, clothing and comfort
wherever it is needed. They assist the elderly, single mothers and children
requiring expensive medical treatment, provide bedding, school supplies,
personal hygiene products and medical supplies to local hospitals and

Chiang Mai
While in Chiang Mai, we will contribute a portion of our profits, in your name to
The Elephant Nature Park. Established in 1995, Elephant Nature Park is
home to over thirty rescued elephants. Ranging in age from infants to
old-timers, these previously abused and neglected creatures are able to live out
the rest of their lives in peace and dignity on the Park's grounds. This
contribution will allow you, if you wish, to visit the park on one of your flex days.
You will have the opportunity to observe the elephants interacting naturally,
watch them in their family groups, feed them fruits and vegetables, and help
bathe them in the river. 100% of our contribution goes to the care of the
elephants. Help make a difference in their lives.

Akumal (CEA), a non-profit organization, working to protect the Mesoamerican
Barrier Reef System. CEA facilitates academic research, environmental
education, cultural exchange and policy influence. Akumal - The Place of the
Turtle in Maya - is home to the Sea Turtle Program which works in Akumal Bay,
Half Moon Bay, Jade Beach and Turtle Beach to protect and study Green
(Chelonia mydas) and Loggerhead (Caretta caretta) turtles. During the nesting
season, CEA turtle biologists, interns, and volunteers, the "Turtle Team", walk the
beaches of Akumal in search of nesting female turtles, turtle nests, and recent
hatchlings. Their duties include protecting and tagging females, collecting
scientific data, relocating eggs to more favorable locations on the beach, and
releasing hatchlings to the sea. The data that the Turtle Team collects are then
used to determine turtle hatching success, behavior, distribution, and abundance.
